Leon Issac Kennedy

From All Movie Guide: African American leading man Leon Isaac Kennedy has been one of the foremost purveyors of two-fisted action flicks. Kennedy is best known for his performance as "Too Sweet" in 1979's Penitentiary and its sequels. Television work includes a supporting role in the 1980 TV movie Off the Cherokee Strip. While in production he generally wears a multitude of hats, producing and writing as well as acting. He will be attending Next Dimension Bible College this coming Saturday, lecturing for the students. This past Saturday Next Dimension Bible College welcomed Ontario Mayor Paul Leon. Mayor Leon is a student of our Bible College studying for his Doctor of Theology.Mayor Leon was first appointed to the Ontario City Council in 1999. He was later elected to the City Council in 2000 and re-elected in 2004. He served as Mayor pro Tem from December 2002 until January 2005. Paul was elected to Mayor in a special election in June 2005 and re-elected to a four year term in November 2006. In addition to his Mayoral duties, Mayor Leon also serves as Senior Pastor of Hope Chapel Foursquare Church.

Over the years Mayor Leon has represented Ontario on regional boards with Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG), and Omnitrans, and has served as the City Council liaison to the Los Angeles World Airports Board of Airport Commissioners.

A native of Southern California, Paul is a graduate of Nordhoff High School in Ojai, the U. S. Army Security Agency Training Center & School at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts, and attended the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Since completing military service in 1977, Paul has been a resident of Ontario. His professional life included: 3½ years in the U.S. Army, five years on the staff of Bilingual Family Counseling Service, Inc.; Outreach Coordinator for the Focus West county wide collaboration; Accounts Manager for Direct Trucking, Direct Home Delivery, Competitive Home Delivery; Owner of PSL Delivery Service.

Dedicated to the betterment of youth in his home region, Paul has contributed thousands of volunteer hours to area organizations including the Ontario Salvation Army, San Bernardino Communities Against Drugs, San Bernardino County Gangs and Drugs Task Force, Ontario Gangs and Drugs Task Force, Chaffey Joint Union High School District C.A.T. Council, Family Solutions Collaborative, Vernon Middle School, and the West Valley Family Violence Council. He also served as the coordinator for the highly successful Christian Okoye/Focus West Youth Football Camps, the Annual Focus West Positive Alternatives Youth Formal, and Red Ribbon Week Elementary School Assemblies. In 1998, Paul received the Montclair/Inland Valley Soroptimist President’s Award, in 1999 the Positive Choices for Youth “Exemplar” Award, the Chaffey Joint Union High School District Community Service Award and in 2006 was selected by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Latino Business Council as the Community Leader of the Year.

He has been studying how the mind works and how we get what we have gotten in life for over 30 years. Assemblyman Isadore Hall III attended our Bible College, and spoke to the students.They responded kindly and appreciated his input.Isadore Hall, III was elected to the Compton City Council on April 15, 2003, as the representative of the Fourth District. The citizens of Compton re-elected him to the position in April 2007. Councilman Hall represents the City of Compton on the Metropolitan Water Board, the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, and the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG).
During his tenure as Councilman, Hall has worked to empower local business owners through the Quarterly Business 2 Business Breakfast Roundtable, an event he created as a way to strengthen the relationships between City administration and local businesses. Quarterly, more than 200 people attend this event, where they are presented the tools to enhance their businesses, access resources to help them compete globally, and network with neighboring companies.
A native of California, Hall has served as Director of the Lynwood Employment and Economic Development Center, as Senior Analyst of Classified Personnel for the Lynwood Unified School District, and as Director of the City of Los Angeles Community Services Department.
In November 2001, Hall was elected to the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees, where he served two consecutive terms as President. The youngest to hold this position in the history of the Compton Unified School District, Hall championed Measure I, which resulted in $80 million to renovate schools throughout the District. He was also instrumental in securing construction of the first new elementary school built in the City of Compton in 35 years, and successfully restoring the Compton Unified School District to full local control, after 10 years of management by the State of California
